Settings, real-world decisions, release checks and limitations.
The PDF page resizer changes the physical page canvas to A4, A3, Letter, Legal or custom dimensions. Original page content is fitted inside the new page without altering the source file on your device.
Page size is not the same as file size. Enlarging the page canvas does not create more document detail, and changing page dimensions may only slightly affect the number of bytes unless images are also recompressed.
| Setting or choice | Choose it when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | Many international forms and office documents | Letter originals may gain margins or scale |
| Letter | US and Canadian office workflows | A4 originals are slightly taller and narrower |
| Legal / A3 | Specific receiving or print requirements | Larger pages can be inconvenient for normal viewing |
| Custom | A documented width and height requirement | Incorrect units or dimensions can create unexpected output |
Confirm whether the requirement concerns paper dimensions or file size.
Choose the target page and orientation; use Auto when mixed content should remain natural.
Add enough margin to avoid clipping near edges.
Print-preview or open the result and check every page boundary.
Page resizing changes the canvas, not necessarily the embedded data.
Reduce the margin or choose a page closer to the original proportions.
Increase margin and use fitting rather than filling.
Not necessarily. Paper size and storage size are different properties.
Yes. Each page is fitted to the selected target.

Use the orientation required by the recipient or Auto when the content varies.
